Opened in 2010 and operated by the City of Carlsbad, The Crossings is the newest and most dramatic of North County's public courses. Designed by David Pfaff, the layout traverses 400 acres of coastal canyons and protected open space, with elevation changes that make it feel far more rugged than a municipal track has any right to. The par-5 18th drops nearly 100 feet from tee to green. A fitting finale to a course that consistently ranks among the best public layouts in California. Wide fairways off the tee open up into tightly guarded, tiered greens.
